My Story
From clay to form
I’m Aurore, a French ceramic artist based in Amsterdam.
Six years ago, I discovered ceramics almost by chance. I fell in love with the material straight away, with the freedom it offers and the sense of escape that comes with working with clay.
I love the quiet magic of taking a simple piece of earth and giving it shape, purpose, and sometimes even a new life.

An adventure taking shape
Gisèle's Story
Gisèle was born from a desire that became reality.
Professionals approached me with ideas for working together, at a time when I didn’t yet have a studio of my own. Rather than let those ideas remain just that, I decided to create the conditions to bring them to life.
I set up my little studio in Amsterdam and embarked on this journey on my own, driven by the desire to create pieces that find their place naturally in the spaces we live in.
My world
When Clay Takes Shape
I mainly work with stoneware, a material I love for its presence, strength and endless possibilities.
My palette is deliberately soft and understated, with whites, beiges and natural tones. I prefer to let the forms, textures and techniques speak for themselves, offering an almost endless space for creativity.
I create pieces for the table as well as objects for the home, including vases, lighting and other creations designed to be part of everyday life or to stand out as distinctive pieces in their own right.
TO THOSE WHO LEFT THEIR MARK
The common thread
The collections by Gisèle bear the first names of women who have left their mark on the world.
Gisèle came first, in tribute to my maternal grandmother and to Gisèle Halimi. Others followed, each inspired by women with their own remarkable journeys, personalities and stories.
One exception is Marilou, my permanent collection, born from the combination of my two children’s names, Marius and Lou.
A common thread that pays tribute to the women who shaped their time, and whose names continue to resonate today.
The Art of Making
Slow process, intentional living.
Each piece is shaped entirely by hand in my studio. I like to take the time to understand the material, let a form evolve beneath my hands and embrace the small variations that make every piece unique.
Bringing craftsmanship back to the heart of our homes also means becoming more mindful of the objects around us, their materials, their stories and the time it takes to create them.
I mainly work with stoneware, paired with a palette of soft, natural tones.
